Optical pH Sensor
Automated colorimetric pH sensor for hydroponics — 12-state FSM, dual-wavelength optics, 3-pump fluidics and a live dashboard.
Hello, I'm Sahan,
IoT Engineer • Embedded Systems • Web Technologies
I'm Sahan — a first-year B.Sc. (Hons) Information Technology & Management student at the University of Moratuwa, building things that actually work — from soldering a custom PCB to deploying a real-time IoT dashboard.
My route into engineering started with a six-month IT internship at the Kandy District Secretariat and an NVQ Level 4 certification in ICT. My first university project — an optical pH sensor — pushed me to design custom circuits, write embedded C++ firmware, and ship a web interface, all on my own.

TypeScript, Node, APIs & interfaces
Python, analysis & automation
Four projects taken end to end — firmware, circuit design, and the interfaces that sit on top of them. Each one shipped rather than sat in a notebook.

Built for the Devpost WebMCP Hackathon challenge — an AI agent analyses your CSV entirely inside the browser tab — the file never leaves. 7 WebMCP tools, privacy-mode gate unit-tested.
A guided self-check UI that turns a short questionnaire into a clear, calm next-step summary.
The tools I reach for, grouped by what they actually do rather than how loud they sound.
